But I think this could be a very nice book to share with younger children who like dogs. My older kids -Tween and new Teen- grabbed this book as soon as it arrived. And one of the things I liked was that the text that accompanies the images rhymes. UNDERWATER DOGS has color from edge to edge and there's a nice mix of close-ups and a shots from a little further back. I don't know why except for the fact that they seem so ecstatically happy. But really, all the dogs are pretty hysterical. We gravitated, of course, to the Jack Russells, since we have Jackie mix. Put dogs in water and they just look ridiculous. Underwater dogs! My kids and I love Seth Casteel's photos. People often say that Seth and Nala have similar hairstyles.
